2. In the car photo, I think the artist is trying to portray what he'd be doing when his car is broken down to pass the time to fix it or just being silly. In the slide the artist portrays reading a book and sliding down the the end and walking off having finished the book..
3. None of the photos seem to show any technical issues or bother me.
4. My favorite photo is definitely the slide photo because its so creative and shows the artist doing something other than makings a face at the camera or making expressions. I think its plain and simple and nicely put together. The self with the hat is my favorite because hes leaning back against the slide and looks like hes tired of reading yet hes trying to make a funny expression about it. Like "omg why am I still reading this book" expression.
these images go great with the assignment. the first image shows many different expressions because each character in the image appears to have their own personality while the second image looks to be one person going down the slide but is actually multiple people at different points reading different books with one walking off after finishing his I assume. There appear to be no issues shadows and overlaps seem to look fine. The second image appeals most to me for its slide show like affect.
1. Both of these images definitely meet the criteria for this assignment -- 2 images, at least 4 selves each. You did more than 4, which is great to see! And the images creatively show either different sides of your personality or a possibly hobby of yours.
2. I think the first image shows the different parts of your personality and the different ways you approach the adventure of life! It looks like the two figures at the front of the truck are looking at a map and then there's the winding road in front of you! Could this be a metaphor for life? (I love metaphors!) And the second image is illustrating what seems to be a love for reading (it's featured in both images)! The slide idea is insanely creative! Good job, Russell! I think there's a metaphor for a journey here too! Like growing up perhaps? But maybe I'm just crazy! Playgrounds are a huge parts of our childhoods, and the figure at the top of the slide is reading a children's book. Then as we go down the slide, I think the books get a little more advanced. I also think you made some pretty selective choices with those books and I think you did it for a reason. Based on your other image, I think you have a love for the outdoors, which probably correlates with "Into the Wild." Now I have a hard time reading some of the other titles, but I love the message you're sending with the very last figure. He's at the end of the slide and he's putting the book down, but the book title is "What to Expect When You're Expecting" (I think). To me, this shows that the journey of growing up has been completed, and that you're looking forward to the future and having a family, and of course, perhaps you recognize that there might not be as much time to read. I can't wait to hear what your messages actually are!
3. These images are really well done and I don't see any technical issues whatsoever. I think you might be the only person that shot both of their images outside! And you did a great job with it!
4. I'm going to say that my favorite image is the slide one. The creativity is absolutely wonderful and I'm getting vibes of a really well executed metaphor! This image is ingenious!
1. Fits criteria. 2. The first one, honestly, I have no idea what is going on... Hahaha. Maybe that's a good thing though, definately had to think about it. I would say car trouble, or maybe traveling, but the outfit of him on top of the car throws me off. And I think one of them has a tall boy?? The second one of him going down the slide is a really neat idea. It looks almost as if he is trying to portray different eras or the growing of ones self knowledge. The first book, "no girls allowed", maybe shows adolesense. What else made me think this is that he is in a nice shirt and a tie when he gets off the slide, like he is a grown up now, going on to concur the world. The slide reminds me of maybe even like a "blender" maybe... with the twisting around, kind of like throwin in all of this knowlege, shaking it up, and then there is the end result. 3. No technical issues. 4. The second is my favorite. I had to think long and hard about both of them, but the second has more meaning to me. Great job on both of them, very creative.
1. These met the criteria. Your multiples are one of my favorites throughout the entire class. 2. The car photo is very playful, because it looks as if you're stranded, but at least you're making the best of it. The picture on the slide is also very interesting, because it gives you and idea of being thoughtful, reading all these different books on a day off, which I am jealous about. 3. No technical issues 4. The slide photo is probably the more successful. It implies that you are more insightful, and has motion. The background is stunning as well.
1. Both images meet the criteria and have additional self’s in the image and show a planned and executed construction. 2. In both images I see the artist portraying himself in a way that shows many of his sides, you see the reserved, playful and focused sides of him. 3. There doesn’t appear to be any real technical issues, which surprised me because shooting them outside I expected to have problems with the uncontrollable environments like leaves and the sky causing problems. 4. I think the image on the slide is the most successful. He is able to show different perspectives on the same slide that really appealed to me.
1. Both images meet the criteria of the assignment. 2. In the car photo I'm not sure what he is trying to portray but it looks like a group of guys who have gotten lost somewhere. In the slide image I believe he is portraying growing up. 3. I didn't notice any real technical issues or anything I think should be changed. 4. I believe the slide image is the most successful in the way the image is laid out.
Both meet criteria. You really put some work into these photos, and it shows. Every outfit is completely different! GREAT variety. Idk if its my computer.. but its really hard for me to see the entire 2nd photo.. I like how both are very well constructed outdoor photos! Its hard for me to say which one is better, Ill have to see them in person when my computer doesn't suck!
1) The images meet the criteria or fulfill the assignment.
2) The first one makes me think of a group of friends hanging out and having fun. The second one shows a love for reading. It also makes me think of how in the beginning the reader is sort of in the dark, then they go along with it and ride it like a rollercoaster, and finishes at the end with the reader wanting more.
3) There were no technical issues that I could see or that bothered me.
4) Both images are very well done and I'm having a hard time deciding. I really enjoy the second one with the slide though. It's very creative. I also enjoy the interactions between the figures in the first one. It would have been nice to get a closer shot at the figures. Then again maybe the scene is suppose to add to the message.
2. First image is very fun/exciting, guys being idiots. The second image shows a progression of age and reading material as you get older.
3. No technical problems.
4. I love the send image the most. The placement of each body, with different books and outfits were fantastic. The time of day also makes the image that much better. You did a really good job with this one.
